I grew up between two worlds.
One was India — the festivals, the food, the languages, the art, the belonging. The other was the world I was actually living in — where being Indian was something you explained, simplified, or quietly kept to yourself.
I think a lot of us know that feeling. The quiet tension of growing up desi outside of India. Loving where you are, and still aching for where you come from.
Aksharr Ghar was born from that tension — and from the refusal to let it win.
I wanted to create something that said you don't have to choose. A journal that felt truly Indian, truly yours — something I couldn't find anywhere. So I made it myself. 🪷

We made this choice deliberately — no pre-made inventory means no wasted paper, no unsold books, and no unnecessary impact on the planet. 🌱 We partner with Printify, who use recycled paper and recycled materials in production. Every journal you order is made with intention — for you, and for the planet. 🪷
Allow 3–7 business days for production, then 5–10 business days for shipping. We currently ship within the United States and Canada. You will receive a tracking link once your order is on its way. 🪷

Because every journal is made to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. However if your order arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it or refund you — no questions asked. Just send us a photo within 14 days. 🪷
